KENT PREMIER BECOME ENGLISH COUNTY CHAMPIONS FOR 2002/2003

Congratulations to the Kent Premier Team for winning the English Inter County Championship Title at Kettering on Sunday 16 March 2003 for the third time in succession.

The Kent Premier team won their regional league against East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey to qualify for the national knockout stage. In the quarter finals they defeated Oxfordshire 30 - 6, in the semi-finals Hampshire 24 - 12 and Somerset 23 - 13(178 shots - 177) in the final to become National Champions for the sixth time.

Players from the following clubs within the Maidstone & District Short Mat Triples League were represented in the Kent team: Downswood, Hempstead Valley, Langley, Tovil and Tunbury.

Kent have previously been English County Champions in 1994/95, 1997/98, 1998/99, 2000/01 and 2001/02.

KENT PREMIER and KENT "A" BECOME RESPECTIVE ENGLISH COUNTY CHAMPIONS FOR 2001/2002

Congratulations to the Kent Premier Team and the Kent "A" Team for winning their respective English County Championship Titles at Roade on Sunday 17 March 2002.

The Kent Premier team won their regional league against East Sussex, Essex and London to qualify for the national knockout stage. In the quarter finals they defeated Devon, in the semi-finals West Midlands and Hampshire 24 - 12 (197 shots - 172) in the final to become National Champions for the fifth time.

Players from the following clubs within the Maidstone & District Short Mat Triples League were represented in the Kent team: Downswood, Grain, Hempstead Valley, Langley, Sutton Valence, Tovil and Tunbury.

Kent have previously been English County Champions in 1994/95, 1997/98, 1998/99 and 2000/01

The Kent "A" team won their regional league against East Sussex, Hertfordshire, London and Surrey undefeated to qualify for the national knockout stage. Their route to the final started with a win over Essex in the preliminary round and then defeating Oxfordshire in the quarter finals and Devon in the semi-finals. The final against Norfolk "A" was won 22-14 (173 shots - 169).

Players from the following clubs within the Maidstone & District Short Mat Triples League were represented in the Kent "A" team: Chalk Village, Downswood, Hempstead Valley, Langley, Shorne, Snodland, Ryarsh and Tunbury.

KENT BECOME ENGLISH COUNTY CHAMPIONS FOR 2000/2001

Congratulations to the Kent Premier Team for winning the English County Championships for the fourth time at Wellingborough on Sunday 18 March 01. Kent won their regional league against Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk undefeated to qualify for the national knockout stage. In the quarter finals they defeated Staffordshire, in the semi-finals Hampshire and Essex 26 - 10 (210 shots - 163) in the final.

12 members of the squad come from teams playing within the Maidstone & District Short Mat Triples League. The teams being Downswood, Grain, Hempstead Valley, Langley, Sutton Valence, Tovil and Tunbury.

Kent have previously been English County Champions in 1994/95, 1997/98 and 1998/99.

The Kent "A" team, with 15 members coming from teams within M&DSMTL, lost to Norfolk "A" in the quarter final of the County "A" National Championship.
